General Registration Information

When Creating a New Account:  You should only have one account per family and the account should be created for the parent - not the player.  All billing and payment information will be tied to the account holder.  You can then create one or more additional family members under your account for player registration or volunteer sign-ups.

High School No-Pass/No-Play Policy:  Westlake Lacrosse believes our players are student athletes and, as such, their participation is intended to be supportive of and subordinate to academic achievement. Though we are an independent association, our player eligibility policies will align with those of UIL, with specific decisions made by our Board and our coaches. Our policy regarding academic eligibility is as follows:

  • Students must be passing all courses (except identified advanced classes).  Passing means a minimum grade of 70 on all courses (except identified advanced classes).

  • Students lose eligibility for a three-week period, which is defined as 15 class days. Exception: one but only one of the three school weeks may consist of only three or four class days, provided the school has been dismissed for a scheduled holiday period. Two class days does not constitute a school week. Exception: Thanksgiving if schools are on holiday Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

  • School week begins at 12:01 a.m. on the first instructional day of the calendar week and ends at the close of instruction on the last instructional day of the calendar week (excluding holidays).

  • Ineligible students must wait seven (7) calendar days after a three-week evaluation period and the grading period to regain eligibility.

  • Students may regain eligibility an unlimited number of times throughout the school year. Note: Spring break can't be part of the 3-week evaluation process. All students are eligible during spring break.

High School P.E. Waivers: Freshmen, sophomores and juniors can earn a 1/2 credit toward the Physical Education graduation requirements through spring participation in the Westlake Lacrosse program.  To receive waiver credit, WHS requires that students acquire a total of 90 hours.  Lacrosse players will earn these hours during practices, games and tournaments in the spring.  If a player is already getting her P.E. credit through another Westlake spring sport (such as basketball or track), he/she is not eligible for an additional P.E. waiver credit during the same season.  Coaches will keep track of each player's attendance.  Ultimately, it is the player and parent who are responsible for making sure that they understand the P.E. waiver policies, and that the player attends practices.

Additional Registrations Requirements for High School Players:  All High School registrants must also turn in an Eanes Physical Form, a hard-copy of the Medical Release & Consent form, and the grade release form.  These forms are available for download here and on our Forms & Links page:

WHS 0910 Physical Form - must be signed by physician before your high school player steps on the practice field.  No exceptions.

Westlake Lax Release and Consent Form - hard-copy release of liability and medical consent form (also electronically signed as part of the registration process)

WHS Grade Release Form - Required for administration of high school No-Pass/No-Play policy
